Pico 4 / Pico 4 Ultra (best non-Meta alternative – EU/UK)
Pico 4 Ultra is a good alternative if you don’t want to go with Meta, but availability is still mostly in Europe / UK. Performance and comfort are good and the price is often attractive.
If you’re in the US and can’t find Pico, just buy a Quest 3 / 3S.
Apple Vision Pro (premium XR, not for everyone)
Apple Vision Pro is an impressive XR device but it’s extremely expensive and not designed as a gaming-first VR headset. If your goal is to play Beat Saber, Blade & Sorcery or Asgard’s Wrath 2, a Meta Quest 3 will make more sense.
